Frequently asked questions

Q. Is the app free?

Yes, the app is free for personal and commercial use. Please do consider an annual donation, especially if you're using the app in a for-profit company. There are add-on services like Publish, but the core app will remain free.

Q. How is this different from Obsidian?

I love Obsidian, but it has a few drawbacks:

* not keyboard-first
* the constant switching between WYSIWYG and markdown is distracting
* search is mediocre (if you ever tried Neovim's telescope, you'll understand)
* endless tinkering with community plugins, which can be malicious and break at every update

Q. Do you provide mobile support?

No, the app is targeted for pc users. That said, if you want to see your notes on mobile, you can activate GitHub sync and browse your vault on GitHub.

Q. Who's the creator?

The sole-creator of the app is me - isshin. For any feature-requests, bugs and feedback, you can reach me at support@noxical.com.
